Parksville Beach Festival Society
Featuring the Quality Foods Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition July 9-12, 2015, the Parksville Beach Festival is family entertainment at its best. Each July, master sand sculptors take to the beach for 30 hours over 4 days to create their works of art using nothing but sand, water, a few common gardening tools, and a lot of patience!! Doubles and soloists compete for their share of the $43,000 prize purse. The winning soloist and double advance to the World Championships of Sand Sculpting. The sculptures will remain on display for public viewing until August 16, 2015. Admission is by a suggested donation of $2.50pp. The event is located at the Parksville Community Park on Corfield Road off Hwy 19A (Exit 46) 30 minutes North from the Horseshoe Bay Ferry and 45 minutes North from the Duke Point Ferry.
