2019 Business Achievement Awards Winners Announced
Our Business Achievement Awards ceremony was scheduled for March 19th and due to the COVID - 19 virus we had to look at our options for rescheduling the popular event. This seemed like the perfect time for the Parksville & District Chamber of Commerce to announce the winners of the Business Achievement Awards. Our unique virtual awards ceremony held June 18 on ZOOM was a welcome interruption to our routine. The ceremony was emceed by Dave Graham from Island Radio.
Finalists, family, friends, past winners, and guests celebrated the outstanding businesses and service individuals in our community albeit a little differently than the usual event!
‘The Business Achievement Awards is an annual highlight for the Chamber, and we had to figure out a way to recognize our finalists and winners. We’ve worked to make a virtual event for the business community, and I think something special for the finalists that shows our appreciation for our sponsors, staff and board of directors. As always, it is important for us as a Chamber to honour and support the great businesses in our region’ says Kim Burden, Executive Director, Parksville & District Chamber of Commerce.
‘We always look forward to the Business Achievement Awards and honouring those individuals who excel beyond expectations and this modified ceremony was a great success. It’s a very memorable experience for finalists and their supporters and we are happy to have been able to host this wonderful community event.’ states Jean Maltesen, President Board of Directors.
